News from the City of Brotherly Love

Do you think they hate that?

Anyway, we reported here earlier that Coach Golden was negative happy about the performance of his team in DeKalb, and he is vowing to make changes.

Among them is QB.  Chester Stewart is the starter, and the only guy who has played.  He has had a couple good games, but the game at NIU was not one of them, and in the aggregate, the numbers are less than stellar.  Here's what Golden said..

"Right now, it's unacceptable. The amount of throws we're leaving on the field is unacceptable."
He is considering R-JR Mike Gerardi and R-FR Chris Coyer, who are both without a pass this season.
"Obviously, neither of them have the game experience," said Golden, who added that an in-game switch at quarterback this week is not out of the question. "But they are both bright. Both have good arms and they have good touch. They can make plays with their feet. We're going to give guys a look there just like we're doing at the other positions."
The most interesting part of this is that he may even make the switch in-game, which means we can be on edge for pretty much anything on Saturday.  As I wrote earlier in the week, Coach Golden is really challenging this team.  It will be interesting to see how they react on Saturday.

In other news, Bernard Pierce did practice....

Note, Temple Football Forever, an excellent MAC football blog, believes in fact that Gerardi could easily start on Saturday and is in fact took a lot of reps in practice...

Finally, here's an interesting weather tidbit...

The National Weather Service in Philadelphia is calling for gusts in the 50-60 mph range and that's a pretty damn good breeze.
