Falcon Football Lands Potentially Key WR

So a couple hours ago, the Twitter began to tingle a little, and then the news was out.  BG football has a new transfer...this is Graduate transfer CJ Lewis from Boston College.

He was a dual-threat QB in HS before going to BC to play WR. He had 55 career catches at BC, for 6 TDs.

Lewis had a huge year in 2020, becoming a favorite target of quarterback Phil Jurkovec. He had a handful of highlight reel catches including a big touchdown grab against Clemson in the first half, and an incredible grab against Louisville. He finished the season with 28 catches for 460 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games.

2021 was a bit of a down year for Lewis. After the injury to quarterback Phil Jurkovec, the big wide receiver struggled to get the ball. He ended up injured himself, and missed the end of the season after having surgery on his finger. He ended the year with 11 catches for 180 yards.

BG can use every playmaker they can get.  He will be the 14th WR on the roster.

That includes fellow transfer Odieu Hillaire, Tyrone Broden (42 career catches), Jhaylin Embry (7), Austin Osborne (64), Jake Rogers (3), Jaedyn McKinstry (3), Cavon Croom (18).  Also, BG red-shirted Tae'Shaun Johnson.

If McDonald can be protected, BG has its strongest set of WRs in years.

BG Nabs 5th Transfer OL

BG has another transfer on the O-line.  This young man is Cedric Dunbar, who played T at Jackson State.  He's 6'4" and 320 pounds, which is a pretty good sized-guy. He is from Natchez, MS, where he was all-district.  His father was a star at Jackson State, as well.  He played 11 games his FR year there, 3 games in the COVID spring year and then--as far as I can tell--none in 2022.

He is the 5th offensive lineman BG has brought in through the portal.

Welcome to the Falcons, Cedric.
