ICSTR Report, UT version.

The ICSTR is back at it again, this time looking at the UT game.  In case you haven't seen this before, we score each special teams play....if they are within a normal range than the play is scored as a 0 and if they are good they get positive points and if they are bad they get negative points.

See what I did there?

BG had another relatively poor special teams game, finishing at -1 for the game.  Missing 2 conversions and a short field goal doesn't help.  Most of the plays were neutral for the game.

Here the BG Positive plays (+4):

KO return to BG 39
BG 46 yard net punt
BG 50 yard punt to the 10 (+2)

Note:  BG did not have a positive play after the first quarter.

BG Negative plays (-5)

BG KO return to the 20
Miss 36 yrd FG
Missed kicked XP (-2)
Missed 2xp

UT had a much better game, finishing at +5.  It is the first time in the last two seasons that they haven't   had a big special teams advantage over the Rockets.  Similarly, there were no big plays on this side of the ledger either.  The Rockets had a consistent and productive effort, ending with only one negative play for the entire game.

Rocket positive plays: (+6)

BG KO return to the 20
Punt inside the 10 (+2)
KO Touchback
Stop 2xp
42 yd FG

Rocket negative plays (-1)

KO return to BG 39

There were no game changing plays in the game.  However, the Rocket's FG and stop on the 2xp were big plays in the game.
