Sweet Victory!

Just got home from Oxford, where it was a day of sweet victory for our Falcons.  It didn't start out great, but we really put together our most complete game in a long time.  We scored 37 on a very good defense and our own defense played a very strong game, holding the RedHawks offense to 16 points.  I thought we pressured Dysert, covered better and tackled better than I can remember us doing in recent times.  I was especially impressed with the tackling....we were making one on one tackles in space, we were bringing guys down when we needed to.  It completely changes the psychology of the game when you think you can get a stop.

I also thought Schilz had his best game.  He avoided pressure, he threw on the run, he showed incredible patience on a couple of touchdowns, waiting for things to develop.

We'll have more tomorrow, but it was a very satisfying walk back to the car today.  Great job, Falcons!
