Breaking News---Je'Ron Stokes transferring to BG
This TD was in the Spring Game |
This is something I have been hoping for but was afraid to jinx. Stokes was a huge recruit to UM, where he never really caught on, but, still, he was at one time considered the 68th best recruit in the country. Even if that was wrong by a factor of 5, he can contribute here.
What happened in the meantime was the BG brought his brother Malik in as a preferred walk on this year. He is currently our #4 QB, but has some pretty strong athletic skills across the board. So, when Je'Ron left UM, I had hopes he would come to BG.
He played two years at Michigan. It is not clear if he redshirted or not, but there's a chance he would have two years left, which is perfect given our senior-laden receiving corps.
He only caught 3 passes in Ann Arbor. Still, this is a great opportunity for our team. This has upside written all over it.
Welcome to the Falcons, Je'Ron. Ummm...you got any other brothers?
