Xavier Tremor

I have to admit I thought about this right away, but I didn't blog it until it showed up in the media. As you would expect, Coach Orr is at least on the media radar for the Xavier job. He was an assistant there and has Cincy roots, and has been a successful head coach. Here's how Cincinnati.com describes him.

Louis Orr
Age: 50
Currently: The head coach at Bowling Green
Reasoning: Orr has Xavier roots as a former XU assistant from 1991-94 and even deeper Cincinnati roots as a Withrow High School graduate. He was forced out of Seton Hall in 2006, but led Bowling Green to a Divisional title this season in the Mid-American Conference.

He also lists about a dozen other guys, so maybe not too much to worry about. Xavier has gone for young coaches in the past, and I'm not sure they want to play the Orr style of ball. Nonetheless there it is.

I have said it before. In the MAC, your coaches leave two ways....the way Urban left and the way Dakich left. If you are successful, this is the stuff you have to deal with. In fact, in basketball, BG has not had a coach leave for a high-profile job since Bill Fitch, unless I am missing someone.
