Football Coaching Updates
Another update on the football staff....Steve Morrison has not been retained and that has left BG with four coaches from the previous staff:
Derrick Jackson, DB
Alex Bayer, TE/ST
Greg Nosal, OL
Brian White, RB
As I understand it, that's the end of the process. So next up will be incoming coaches.
Know this. It's a madhouse down there. Staffing up, getting coaches, recruiting across numerous levels....'25, '26, portal guys, OUR GUYS. You want to grind? Pick up a program in March.

I feel mixed about this situation. Positive in that we’re the only game in town now… but negative in that we’re the only game in town. Why? Either way puts limits on what can be done quickly. Availability of other asst coaches being most critical.. keeping some continuity with current guys very important if we’re going to avoid losing kids to portal. I’m especially glad to see Alex Bayer retained . 2 TEs to NFL in past 3 yrs is pretty impressive , and special teams have improved over past few yrs also.
I was glad to see us keep Bayer as well.
