MAC MBB Heads to Conference play, Part II

So here is where everyone stands after non-conference play.  Based on the ratings, I think you have UT and KS as the most likely title contenders....UA a strong third....OU, BSU and UB in the 4-6 slots, a 6 terrible teams battling for the last 2 spots in Cleveland.

For context, at the end of the 2019 season, the MAC was the #9 conference. The worst team in the conference finished the year ranked #255.  This year, there are six teams ranked BELOW that and the MAC is the #18 ranked league.

A few observations:

There will be no at-large bid.  Bracketologists has Kent in the tourney right now, but they have almost no chance to get quality wins moving forward.  They only play UT once, at Kent.

That game will feature UT, the #23 offensive team and the #35 defensive team (KS).

The only 2 QII wins are CMU @ UM and UT over UAB on a neutral floor.

Kent clearly showed the most in the pre-season, based on what was expected.  They pushed Houston, Gonzaga and Charleston.

Emoni Bates leads the MAC in scoring, but he hasn't done much for the overall effort.

UB played a tough schedule but also lost a game in the Q3 and Q4 quadrants.

BG is as bad as expected and as bad as it looked.

So, here we go.  One-bid cage match....
