BG has second QB leave program

Elijah Cunningham has now left the football program, as announced by him on Twitter.  He joins James Morgan in announcing their transfer.  No idea how many of these there are going to be--the rumor mill is hot--but we will find out in the end.  Social media makes this a little harder for the University, when they had a better ability to control this information, sometimes until the next roster came out.

He was a Babers recruit who stuck with BG when the coaches changed.  In fact, one of the first things--if not the very first thing--the Jinks crew did was make a mass visit to Cunningham.  He was a 2-star recruit coming in and never took a snap for BG.  He was no higher than #4 this year, even with the turmoil at QB.

Anyway, all the best to Elijah on the road of life.  Go get 'em.

One last note for our program.  Coach Jinks had imagined this to be a smaller class.  I am wondering how much that is changing as scholarships open up.  We didn't have a huge senior class, but he may have more to give than he expected.

Four players, some Babers recruits, at most only one of them having contributed meaningfully and certain to be a bench warmer next year. Presently and subject to change, I see nothing to blink at. This could even prove positive if some upgrades can be pulled in sooner.

*shrugs*

Much like the season, we'll see what comes out of this in a couple of months.
