Rorie Will Not Remain with Falcon Basketball Team

Quick note, the Blade is reporting that Desmond Rorie will no longer be with the Falcon basketball team.

Rorie redshirted last year and had not seen any acton this year as well.  He was a HS teammate of Jehvon Clarke at Canton Timken.  At 6'9", he was one of those big men who didn't really get any numbers in HS but had the physical skills where you thought you might be able to make it a project. Here's what Coach Orr said at the time.

“Desmond is one of the most athletic big men in the state,” Orr said. “He runs the floor well, is a good shot blocker, is mobile, and has huge upside – I think more than any big guy in the state of Ohio. If he continues to work, he can be a presence and can add size alongside freshman Cameron Black.”

Anyway, it didn't work out.  All the best to Desmond in the future.
