Clawson Presser
Coach Clawson met with the media yesterday, let's see what he had to say.
Hint: Not too much on the news front.
He did talk about the slow start the offense got off to. He said that with 3 new starters on the o-line and the new WRs, it wasn't a surprise that they got off to a slow start. He also said that while our line is young, they are stronger than the 2009 line, which is the only year BG had a good line during the Clawson years.
He wanted the veterans to help the young guys, so he put Flewellyn between Chief and Fahn Cooper and Roussos next to Huettel.
He talked a lot about UMass. They are a better team than their record indicates. He stopped short of a full-on Don Nehlen "this might be the best 0-6 team in the country" speech...he talks about how tough they played OU and the play they are getting out a FR QB.
Falcon Fodder has a couple other tidbits that didn't make the portion on the website. The bad news is that Jamel Martin has ligament damage in his knee and is done for the year. Hopgood is back, so BG remains 4 deep at RB. Bart Tanski is back, and Woods and Bayer are participating in practice, though non-contact. He remains hopeful for Woods and Bayer, though there was no positive declaration that he would be ready.
