Sadness accrues.

Well, there's not much to say.  BG was beaten for a third straight year by the Rockets.  I was proud of how the team battled back after falling behind 24-3 after that disastrous drive in the early third quarter, but you can't fall behind 24-3 on the road to a team like that and have a chance to win.  It felt like the team was flat and very uninspired in the first half and that's all it takes.  Obviously, it was a very disappointing effort.  The INT, the two missed kicks, the lack of red zone scoring on early chances, it just was a very uneven effort.

UT is just better than us right now.  There isn't much point in denying it.

I thought we ran the ball well, but the other aspects of the game were just not up to the standards we need to compete in this conference.

I know I was the one preaching patience.  This is still a young team.  I'm not sure I thought they were this young, though.

Anyway, this wasn't a game I thought we would win before the season and I thought it would be tough all week.  But, I thought we'd bring consistent effort for the whole 60 minutes, and we didn't get that.
