MAC Men's Hoops Restart

So, here we go. Put the seat belts on, put the tray table in the upright AND locked position, and assume crash positions.

We're coming down the home stretch of what is a very compelling MAC Men's Basketball season.  There is nothing more dramatic, in my view, than one-bid conference basketball.  There simply is no margin for error, and you have to be very tough to win out and get the bid to the NCAA Tourney.

As you can see, Kent is clearly in the driver's seat for the #1 seed, with 8 wins and a game in hand.  They also have 3 home games left.  WMU is probably in good position in the West, leading Ball State by a half game but with Ball State slated to travel to Kalamazoo on the road home.  Miami, BG and Buffalo are battling (right now) for the remaining two home berths.  Akron lurks only a game back, but the Zips and Bulls have only 2 games at home left.

As a final note, BG has a 3-game lead over the two teams they need to beat to at least ensure a home berth in the tourney.

Sharpen up those tie-breaking procedures...anyway,
