Game On!
The Falcons start MAC play today--our real proving ground--as the Buffalo Bulls come to town. Buffalo has a mixed body of work for the season...they won on the road @ Canisuis, they beat the University of Miami, they won @Temple, and came within 3 of Pitt. On the other hand, they lost at home to Delaware State and lost by 30 to Evansville. Still, they're 8-5 against a stronger schedule than we played.
One positive indicator. Teams don't tend to shoot well against us, and Buffalo is the second worst shooting team in the MAC.
Plus, word is that Ryne Hamblett will be suspended and Eric Marschall isn't ready to play yet.
This is a good test for our team--one we need before we go to OU on Thursday. OU beat Akron last night at the Convo.
I don't mean to be a pessimist. My biggest fear is that we're coming down to earth quickly. I hope, however, that we see something different, and beat Buffalo today. It is absolutely not outside the realm of our ability.
