Loeffler Presser

So I watched the Loeffler presser.  He was quiet, to be sure.  Two things I noted.

First, he was finally asked the QB question....had he considered trying someone else?

To no one's surprise, he said "absolutely not."  He said that the things that went wrong in the passing game were "out of his [McDonald's] control."  He specifically cited tipped balls which happened when the D-line had pushed the o-line directly on top of him.  He said that these are things "the average fan doesn't see."

So there you have it.

Much of the rest of the presser talked about leadership.  One of the things Loeffler wants to work on this week is players doing something the first time they are directed.  That's a shocking thing to hear, frankly.  He says it is maturity.  I guess that's a form of it.  Someone was in the comments recently saying some of it is on the players, and this is a good example of that point.  I also wonder if it doesn't point to a lack of "internal competition" as Clawson used to say.

On to Buffalo.

Insufficient. McDonald is NOT the answer. Yes,the QB always takes too much blame but there is no tangible progress with him at the helm.
