Buffalo goes down in NCAAs

That's four in a row for the MAC...the last MAC team to win a game in the tournament was OU in 2012 and they made the Sweet Sixteen.  The last team that is not OU to win a tournament game was CMU in 2003 with Chris Kamen.

Buffalo played a good game against Miami, but the Hurricanes are very strong and experienced.  They built up an 8 point lead in the second half and relentlessly rode that home to the win.  Nonetheless, this was a big season for the Bulls.  They repeat as champs and do so after losing their Coach and the MAC Offensive Player of the Year.  Very impressive.

Elsewhere around the MAC....

Ohio U won their first game in the CBI and will play UNC-Greensboro in Athens on Monday.  That's a quarterfinal.

Ball State beat Tennessee State in the CIT and now will play TN-Martin in what is a round of 16.

Those are the only two teams still playing. Akron lost to OSU and CMU lost to TN-Martin.

Update:  I am informed by an anonymous commented that NIU is also in the Vegas 16, where they will play UC Santa Barbara on March 28.  My "B"
