Permutations, November 11

So here are the permutations for today, as the dust settles.

So here are the questions for our Falcons.

Can BG win if it loses out.  NO.
Will BG win if it wins out.  YES
Can BG win if it loses to Kent NO
Can BG win if it beats Kent and loses to Buffalo...

Well, that gets a little more interesting.  Buffalo is playing better, beat WMU yesterday and will play BG on a neutral field so that's not a gimmee by any stretch of the imagination.

The answer is, yes, BG can win.  OU would need to beat Kent, which would either leave BG and Kent tied at 6-2...which BG would have the head to head tie breaker one...

or BG, Kent and OU tied at 6-2 (OU also plays @Ball, a very tough assignment), and BG would win that tiebreaker having beaten both teams.

So, for the East it is relatively simple.  Kent clinches with a win @BG.  BG cannot clinch that day, but does control its own destiny for the East division title.

Kent is looking very good, by the way.  They drilled Miami yesterday.  I cannot wait for Saturday.
