10 Falcons All-Mac

The All-MAC team was announced today. Overall, only a couple surprises and disappointments. Overall, the biggest disappointment is having ten guys on the first or second team, and still finishing third.

A couple points:

Omar was first-team all-MAC. A huge honor, especially to be picked over Charlie Frye as a sophomore, when the inclination would have been to pick Frye because he was a senior. Omar had to have been that much better, and he was.

I think one of our receivers should have been on the first or second team. We distribute the ball so well, its hard to rack up big numbers, but Sharon was fifth in catches and had 13 TD's. That should be All-MAC.

Burkes and Newson both deserved their first-team listing. I hope Keon gets defensive player of the year tomorrow.

Adell Givens should not have been All-MAC either. Anthony Sherrell deserved that spot.
