Five More Football Verbals

We're in the dead period now, so we should start to hear less recruiting news.  Right now, I've got five more players, which gets us to 15...that's 100% unofficial because the school doesn't comment on these, and sometimes there's a guy out there who didn't hook in on social media.

Caden Carter

Caden is a 6'2" and 217 pound LB from Walsh Jesuit, in the Cleveland area. He has no stars from 247, but offers from EMU, Akron, Cornell, Navy, Ohio, Toledo, WMU and Youngstown State.

His Father is Delone Carter, who was 2005 Ohio Mr. Football, went to Syracuse, and played for Indy and Jacksonville in the NFL at RB.

He certainly had a productive junior year:

  • 108.5 tackles
  • 10 Tackles for loss
  • 3 sacks
  • 2 forced fumbles
  • 3 pass break ups
  • 1 interception

He was third-team Division II All-Ohio.

Bryce Brewster

Bryce is a 6'3" and 245 pound DL from Cincinnati Taft. Also unranked, he had offers from App. State, Buffalo, Kent, Miami, Ohio, Temple, Toledo, UMass.

Serious productivity here:

  • CMAC DEFENSE PLAYER OF THE YEAR🦍
  • 1st Team ALL CONFERENCE
  • 2nd Team all STATE
  • 2nd TEAM all city
  • Regional CHAMPS🏆
  • STATE Semi Final Contender
  • 20 Sacks 🚨
  • 130 Tackles
  • 61Solo
  • 69 Assists
  • 24 TFL
Vance Diepenbrock

Vance is a long-snapper.  Maybe not the most exciting position on the field, but the one guy who can lose you a game in one second. He attends Bishop Dwenger High School, Fort Wayne and was in the Rubio Top 12.

Jordan Tarver

He's a 6'1" and 175 pound CB from Auburndale HS in FL. While unranked, he had a number of high-quality offers...Memphis, MSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, UNLV, WVU, and a handful of FCS offers.

Here is his HS Coach: “Number one he has the frame. He has the height and all that stuff (and) the speed to play at the next level. He has long arms. His strength has improved. And then his overall technique, his ball skills have improved. He’s extremely talented."

On top of that, he runs a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash and a 10.7 in the 100 meters, as he also on the track team.

He's a great article about how he used football to work through losing both of his parents.  His father died during spring practice a couple years ago.

Derron Grey, Jr

Derron is a 6'4" and 210 pounds TE from Africentric HS in Columbus, OH.  Unranked, he has offers from EMU, WMU, App. State, UB, EKU, KSU, Kentucky, Marshall, Miami, Temple, USF and WKU.

He had 1,000 yards on 40 receptions last season, which might be appealing.  He was second-team All-state, Division V.

Gentlemen....welcome to the Falcons.
