Falcon MBB: Nelly Cummings


Bowling Green has a new men's basketball verbal...it is Nelly Cummings from Lincoln Park High School, Pittsburgh, PA.  He is 6'0", and is reported to be a combo guard who can play the 1 spot or the 2 spot.  He is one of the top players in Western Pennsylvania, and was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous Five last year.  

Averaged 23.3 points, 4 assists and 2 steals this season for WPIAL Class AA finalist and PIAA semifinalist. An excellent shooter, Cummings had 64 3-pointers this season.
He is apparently a good student, with offers from Brown and Dartmouth, along with Temple and Bucknell.  He also visited Indiana and West Virginia.

He said BG gave him his first offer, recruited him all along, and he is excited about playing closer to home.
