Jans Presser Before Notre Dame Tilt

The Chris Jans era will begin today when the BG men's basketball team takes on the Falcons of Notre Dame College in an exhibition game at the Stroh.  The game starts at 4:30 as part of a doubleheader with the women's team.

Jans had a presser yesterday, and he had a couple interesting things to announce, most of which was the starting lineup, which is as follows:

1.   Pep Joseph
2.   Anthony Henderson
3.   Zack Denny
4.   Spencer Parker
5.   Richaun Holmes

I think most people were probably surprised at this.  Henderson might have been a mild surprise and Denny is probably a pretty big surprise.  Coach said it isn't too big a deal to him.  They plan on running a normal rotation of 10 guys (a bigger rotation than Orr normally ran) and there could even be an 11th.

But, I think you can read into it that perimeter shooting is a priority with Henderson and Denny both being in the lineup.

For whatever it is worth, Notre Dame was 11-19 last year.  They are a DII school.  They have one player who was named DII pre-season All-America...Lawrence Dearmond, who is a 6'2" Senior Guard.
