Lions Roster preditions

Here's my prediction for the 53 man Lions roster.

QB: Harrington, McMahon, Mirer
RB: Pinner, Bryson, Jones
FB: Schlessinger, Smith
WR: Rogers, Williams, Hakim, Streets, Swinton, Drummond
TE: Alexander, Fitzsimmons
T: McDougale, Backus, Butler
G: Woody, Joyce, Lovelady, Loverne
C: Raiola, Hopson

(25)

DE: Hall, Porcher, DeVries, Edwards
DT" Wilkinson, Pritchett, Rogers, Redding
OLB: Curry, Lewis, Davis, Lehman, Bailey
MLB: Holmes, Rainier
CB: Goodman, Bryant, Smith, Babers, Bly, Cash
S: Marion, Holt, Brian Walker, Bracy Walker

(25)

K: Hanson
P: Harris
LS: Banta

That's 53. If Bailey goes on IR, then they will keep an additional LB, and I predict they get him off the waiver wire, and not among Genord, Battle, or the guy from Bethune-Cookman they signed this week.

On offense, the choice really comes down, IMO, to John Owens vs. Swinton. I just think Swinton is better on special teams, and they don't need three TE's.

Lastly, the luckiest man in show business is Olandis Gary if he ends up on IR. He was about to be cut, probably out of the league, and this way he gets one year, if not two, of NFL salaries.

The offense is looking good, and I think will score a ton of points. The defense looks thin even healthy, and weaker not healthy. The secondary is much improved, but will be saddled with an anemic pass rush. Maybe Porcher can deliver on special downs. I firmly believe the Lions would cut Edwards if they had someone else.

So, you go 8-8 (not official prediction) this year, and grab a pass rusher in the draft next year. And its on to the Super Bowl...IN DETROIT!!!
