A quick recruiting update. Two things....BG has a verbal commit named Ryan Hunter who is playing in Buffalo though he is from Ontario. There has been some things on line that indicated it might be soft...then, his team won the Catholic title and he was interviewed on Buffalo TV wearing this....
If you get a chance to listen, you should. He's an articulate young man and has good things to say about BGSU. He doesn't close the door completely, which is normal and honest. If a BCS school came calling, anyone would expect him to listen.
Also, BG has a verbal from Logan Larson, who is from Illinois. He's a RB there...apparently he projects to a TE in college. Anyway, he played a huge role in a historic win for his school.
Logan Larson carried Pleasant Plains High School to its first playoff win in the 10-year existence of its football program Friday night as the Cardinals beat Auburn 34-21 in the first round of the Class 3A postseason. It was only the second playoff game for Plains, which also qualified in 2008. It was the second time this season Plains has beaten the Trojans. The Cardinals won at home 39-21 in Week One. Larson, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound running back who is headed to Bowling Green State University on scholarship, gained 179 yards on 22 carries. He also scored for two touchdowns, the second a 50-yarder with great downfield blocking that sealed the win with 1 minute 59 seconds left.
