Sweet Victory #5--Special Teams

OK, so finally a look at special teams.

They were very solid.  There was no huge plays but no big mistakes.

BG did have a punt that probably should have been downed but ended up as a touchback.

But they did down two other ones inside the 20 and had 38 net yards per punt, which is solid.

Kickoffs were very good--UMass averaged starting on their 20 and they do have a good kick returner.

Not much happened on BG's kick and punt returns, but nothing got messed up.

Tate made all 4 xps and BG tried no FGs.

So, a solid day.  Special teams didn't win the game, but they didn't give an underdog the opportunity to do anything, either.
