 So, BG landed a verbal commit for the football team today and it looks to be a good one.  His name is Shaun Thigpen and he's from Springfield, OH...not the one in Lucas County, the one in Clark County.

He's a 3-star commit who had offers from (according to 247) Indiana, Purdue, Syracuse, and Kentucky, along with MAC schools Akron, UB, CMU, EMU, UT.

He's 6'4" and 170 pounds, which is something you have to like. 

Last year, Thigpen reeled in 54 catches for 780 yards and five touchdowns.

He caught 10 passes for 105 yards, both career highs.In Springfield’s 23-13 loss to Lakewood St. Edward in the Division I state championship game last year.

Worth nothing that it was Springfield's first trip to the state championship game.
