A few random North Dakota Facts

North Dakota is in Grand Forks.  They play in the FCS Big Sky conference.

Yes, they play in that dome.

No, Carson Wentz went to North Dakota STATE.

They won the 2001 DII National Championship, defeating a Grand Valley State team coached by Brian Kelly.

Playing football since 1894, they have won 61% of their games and 25 conference titles.

Coached by (I can't make this up) Kyle "Bubba" Schweigert in his third season.  They were 5-7 his first year and then 7-4 last season.  He was head coach of Minnesota-Duluth and got them into the DII tournament.  He was also a longtime assistant for North Dakota.

They are picked to finish #4 or #5 in the Big Sky, depending on whether you believe the media or the coaches.  They were #21 in the pre-season FBS Poll.

Prominent Football Alums:

Pro Bowl OL Chris Kuper
TE/H-back Jim Kleinsasser
NFL LB Jim LeClair
Pro Bowl RB Dave Osborn
Super Bowl winning kicker Errol Mann

They have never played BG.  They are 1-3 against current MAC teams, however only one of the games--against NIU--was played when the team was a member of the MAC.

They beat Wyoming last season, for their most recent FBS victory.
