First, OSU's best win is against a team that appeared pretty good, but I know have as unranked. Their second best win is over Illinois.
Oregon has beaten Stanford and Arizona State, which is better.
Oklahoma has beaten a ranked Air Force and Florida State (who just smoked Miami), as well as a Texas team that is better than Illinois.
Auburn beat South Carolina, who is now #7 based on my rankings.
And that is how OSU ends up #4. It isn't because I hate them, which I do. Remember, I had them #1 at the start of the year. To date, they are not having a better season than those three teams.
