MBB Gets Transfer to Fill Roster Spot

With Yo Yo heading home to play professionally, BG has found a player to fill the slot.  HIs name is Mayar Wol and he's 6'8."

He came out of Raleigh, NC and was ranked by 247 as one of the 90 top players in the country.  He was recruited by Clemson, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Cincinnati and ended up at the College of Charleston, where he played sparingly (1.1 points per game).

From there he moved to Eastern Kentucky, where he was the ASUN 6th Man of the Year.  He averaged 8.9 PPG and 4.8 RPG, shooting 40% from the field and 30% on 143 3FGs.

He transferred to Bradley for these season...according to Bradley Scout, he is an inside defender and a player who is said to be much more effective offensively in transition.  On June 9, it was reported that he had left Bradley and re-entered the portal.

And today, he is heading to BG.  He gets here late and well into the season prep.  Also, the players have been in class for a while.

Still, given the tight timeline, you could have done worse.  At some point, someone saw big upside.
