One is a FB named Leo Kemp, who transferred from UCLA and was at San Diego State the year before that. He's 5'11 and 220 pounds. He played 21 games over those two years, catching 2 passes at SD State and playing mostly special teams for the Bruins.
He was a 3-4 star recruit out of HS, depending on who you watch.
We have had mixed relationships with FBs. Sometimes we haven't had them at all. A hybrid blocker and pass catcher can always fit.
The other is a QB...Hunter Najm. Was an early-enrollee at Washington State, did not play at all and then transferred. He's 6'1".
He was not rated out of HS and was listed as a walk-on at WSU.
He appears to have been a dual-threat QB in HS...
- Amassed 3,744 career passing yards with 29 touchdowns
- Also rushed for 592 yards and 13 touchdowns
- His senior year he passed for 1,548 yards and 13 touchdowns, while rushing for 333 yards and eight more scores as he led Aliso Niguel to a 7-5 record and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the CIF Division 8 playoffs
- Played in the Orange County All-State game as a senior
He is one of 5 QBs in the "QB Room." Pyne, Anderson, Melvin, May, Najm.
