BG added another transfer to its MBB program. This one is Joe Reece who is transferring from Old Dominion University in Virginia.
He is 6'8" and 200 pounds, and I would expect him to play the Jacob Washington role on the team. He played two years at ODU and will have two seasons at BG.
He played sparingly in his first year, but played and started 22 games last year. He scored 7.8 PPG and had 5.1 RPG in 25 minutes. He made 53% of his 2FG attempts and only 26% from 3FG, while attempting about 2 a game. That 2FG shooting is pretty good.
So, to review, here is how the roster looks now. This totals 14 players. As will become the norm, there will be a lot of question marks, especially as BG has chosen to go for transfers from players "moving up" from smaller programs as opposed to "moving down" from P5 programs.
