There's a new football verbal....

BG has a new football verbal from Western PA.  His name is Chase Whatton and he's a 6'4", 235 pound SDE from Elizabeth Forward High School.  (Name is weird, developed because the school serves Elizabeth Township and Forward Township.  Township is named for Walter Forward, a US Treasury Secretary in the 1840s.)

Chase is a 3-star player (247) who was highly recruited.  About 30 D1 offers, including six MAC schools, seven Ivy League Schools, all 3 service academies and James Madison, FCS Powerhouse.

He was all-conference, all-state and the 3A Big East defensive player of the year.

How's this sound?

He made 68 tackles, with 12 sacks and 29 tackles for a loss. He also blocked five punts and three extra points for the Warriors (7-3, 6-2).

So, 29 TFL.  That' a wow right there.

And he was a junior when that happened.
