So, BG has a new commitment, this one a highly-ranked CB. His name is Elijah Eberhardt, who attends Cincinnati Princeton.
Here is his story. He was a very highly ranked CB entering his junior year. In fact, he was the #13 player in Ohio, according to 247. He was off to a big start for his junior year, with seven tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception in Princeton's first two games. Then, he injured his ACL and missed the remainder of the season, but was expected to be back for camp season, which I assume he was.
He had an offer from WMU as well, his only other reported offer. 247 has him a 3-star recruit and is the #98 CB in the country. And yes, we all know that the rankings are only part of the story--they have to get here, fit in, and then turn into players at the higher competitive level. Still, he's ranked as the #20 recruit in Cincy by the Enquirer.
Welcome to the Falcons, Elijah.
