So that's it. Or, I think that's it. I said that once when we finished .500 and we ended up in one of those post-season tournaments, but that's it or it should be it. BG finishes with a 6-game losing streak and a 16-16 record and 7-12 in MAC play. For the second straight year, they will not go to Cleveland for the MAC tournament.
More later when the time comes to review the season. In general, it ended about where we expected. BG gets one new recruit and the Latvian back for next year, assuming everyone returns, something which isn't as automatic as it used to be in college basketball. Anyway, the team needs to continue to get better because the other teams in the East are likely to get better, too. As always, the East is the weaker division. Three of the four byes went to West teams. But Miami is on the upswing, Akron has 3 transfers waiting on the bench, etc. Status quo won't close the gap.
It is possible. There are some good players and you'd like to see them improve from year one to year two. The six losses will leave them under no illusion over the course of the off-season. They were pretty much as expected and will need to get better.
