Locke and Wilcox Honored by MAC

Congrats to Matt Wilcox and Nate Locke for being honored by the MAC Today.

Matt Wilcox was honored for being the MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week.  He had a big game, with 3 returns for 121 yards, including a 61-yard return which (I understand) is our most in a couple years.

Wilcox is just a true freshman.  He enrolled early in January and in addition to averaging over 25 yards per kick return has 10 receptions, including 1 TD.  He is part of the youth movement Coach Jinks is counting on to turn the program around and this award is hopefully just one of many.

Nate Locke is a senior MLB and had a huge game against Kent.  He had 8 tackles, four of them for a loss in the win.  He's the second leading tackler on the team for the year.  He's also a 4.0 student who contributes to the community and has been nominated for the 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works team.  He's a credit to the program and the University.
