Goodbye to my game sweatshirt

Santa proved to be a true Falcon this year.

What you see above is my game sweatshirt.  I have been wearing this for a long time, since the year Urban Meyer came to Bowling Green.  We've been through a lot together.  Just off the top of my head, you can include Urban Meyer, Gregg Brandon, Dave Clawson, Dino Babers, Dan Dakich, Louis Orr, Chris Jans, Michael Huger...Josh Harris, Omar Jacobs, Tyler Sheehan, Freddie Barnes, Cole Magner, Matt Johnson, Travis Greene, Chris Jones, Scott Thomas, A'uston Calhoun, Richaun Holmes, John Reimold...Alex Glantzis blocking the FG vs WMU, the big comeback over UT on a snowy night at AA, the last game at Anderson, two MAC football championships, one MAC regular season men's basketball title, the game at Browns Stadium, a cold day in Columbus, OH, a very cold day against WMU in 2010...and on and on.  The fog game, the Big Ben game, the Buffalo collapse...not all good, for sure.  But a lot of incredible memories for my son and I as we share something we love.

Anyway, the game sweatshirt has reached the end of the line.  The circle above is a hole that has appeared.

It was time.

So, Santa hooked me up.  Here is the new game sweatshirt (shot in the same light as the sweatshirt above).  Bright orange and ready to go.

Who knows what we will see with this one on.  Mike Jinks, Michael Huger...maybe both for long and successful careers, or maybe short and successful and more to come.  Who knows?

So, honor the past and create the future.

Go Falcons.
