Former Falcon John Haneline now Coaching LBs at Mississippi State

There's another connection between BGSU and Mississippi State.  Of course, the HC, Dan Mullen, was QB coach at BG during the Urban Meyer years...and now former Falcon LB John Haneline has been named the LB Coach for the Bulldogs.

Geoff Collins, the former LB Coach and DC, moved on to Florida in what Mullen tersely called "a lateral move."  Mullen promoted Haneline, who was a graduate assistant for the Bulldogs this year.  You will probably remember the Haneline name.  John's older brother Chris was second-team All-MAC and a Falcon captain as a LB.  John was all-state in HS but, as I recall, battled injuries at BG.  One year he had 96 tackles in 9 games before a foot injury ended his season.

In fact, this story says that Mullen met John Haneline at a BGSU 7-7 camp. and they teamed up to win the tournament.

Great to see former Falcons doing well.  We'll be watching during the Orange Bowl.
