Jalone Friday, BG Men's Basketball Verbal

The Falcons have landed their first 2015 verbal in men's basketball.  He is PF Jalone Friday, a 6'8" PF from Oklahoma City.  He is a 3-star recruit on Rivals.  The last 3-star recruit BG landed on Rivals was Danny McElroy.

He plays at Millwood HS and was Honorable All-Mention All-City.  Looks like he was a low double-figure scorer as a HS Jr.

This is one of those things that you probably won't have stats for, especially in HS.  Presumably BG and Rivals saw him play this summer, and were able to persuade him to come to BG.  According to this site, he's a combo player who presents matchup difficulties with the ability to score 3s and near the rim.  Certainly, in the MAC, a player with this size who can score from outside

The Jans coaching team is certainly recruiting the center of the country, where presumably he has some stronger contacts.  Which is fine...we need players who will lift the MAC Championship trophy.
