Reports Say Clawson Heading to Wake Forest

Sometimes these things are wrong, but The Internet is blowing up with news that Clawson is set to head to Wake Forest.  It appears to be set to happen in the morning.

Certainly disappointing.  It would have been great to have him stay.  Still, it is important to remember this is his livelihood.  He is taking a better job for more money...something people like you and I do every day.  He has nothing but best wishes for the future from me.

In the MAC, you either have a coach you don't want or one that everyone wants.  It is just part of the cost of doing business.

I'll have more to say tomorrow once the news is official.  Nothing but good things and thanks for Coach Clawson.

NIU has done this a couple times...you can keep things moving forward.  I think the key is to avoid getting a coach who wants to change everything and sets us back while he "gets guys for his system."  I happen to think DC Mike Elko would be an excellent choice, but there could be other ones as well.
