It is official.  BG will be playing an unknown opponent in the Pizza Bowl...though as you can see above, we will know at 8:45 or before.  Rumors on the web are saying Pitt...but the Sun Belt is supposedly the Big 10 backup, which might make it WKU.  Stay tuned for the announcement of the team.  Pitt would be a good opponent for us.  Winnable and a name brand.  Happy to be playing anybody as the champions of the Mid-American Conference.

Five MAC teams will be bowling.  NIU plays Utah State in the Poinsettia Bowl.  Buffalo plays San Diego State in the Potato Bowl.  Ball State plays Arkansas State in the Go Daddy Bowl.  And, in the surprise announcement, Ohio will play East Carolina in the Beef O'Brady Bowl.

Lets see, one, two, three, four, five..that's all of them, right?

Right.  Toledo got left out.  Loss to Akron apparently hurt.  I can't construct a rationale for how OU goes ahead of UT, but I don't understand everything in the world that makes me happy.  Some things you just enjoy.
