#flashes HC Paul Haynes said KSU Heisman hopeful Dri Archer is "day to day" after "twisting" his L ankle in the season opener vs Liberty.

So the word out of Kent is that Archer is day to day. I wouldn't expect a large amount of quality information to come out about this. Preparing for Archer and non-Archer are two completely different things, and I am sure even if they thought Archer was out for sure, we would not know that until game time or even during the game.
A few thoughts...
- Obviously, they are not as good a team without him.
- At the same time, he is not Jim Brown. We should be able to win the game even if he is at 100%.
- Additionally, it is worth keeping in mind that even if he plays he might not be 100% and for his style of play, an ankle is a huge issue. It impacts the ability to cut and also durability.
- They are saying twisted...originally it was a sprain. These are word games, though I would not expect him back from a true sprain.
Bottom line, we have to prepare to face him...and with him at anything other than 100% they are easier to beat than if he is at 100%. Anybody would be.
