Falcon Football Recruiting Updates from the Web....

With a little break in the live action, here are a few internet updates on our verbal commits for football.

O-line recruit Ryan Hunter, a Canadian playing HS football in Buffalo won the trophy signifying the top line man in Western New York.

Hunter was also the Buffalo News co-player of the year.

D-line verbal Jason Shepherd had a big senior season that resulted in him taking a big jump up the Palm Beach paper's "Big Board" of HS players.  Here's what they said:
Another defensive end, Seminole Ridge’s Shepherd, made a similar jump. Shepherd (6-1, 230) was as active as any defensive player in the county this fall, cutting off outside runs and creating havoc on passing downs. The senior is verbally committed to Bowling Green, but has regularly impressed other college coaches this season, and his on-field contributions in Seminole Ridge’s run to the regional finals were enough to warrant a big boost in his ranking.
In another story, Shepherd appears to be a very smart player.  Check out how their coach uses him and his teammates on defense.

RB Recruit Eric Harrell had 20 carries for 86 yards and 2 TDs in a state playoff game.

Bishop Luers WR Michael Rogers played on the team that won its 4th straight state title in Indiana.  He had a 42-yard TD in the title game...Luers is the school where Falcon backup QB James Knapke played as well.

Line recruit Tim McAuliffe teams with an LSU verbal to be a handful...
