Well, we have a little bit of a break because we don't play until a week from Wednesday....let's see how our next opponent did.
Miami won at Buffalo 21-9. It was a game partly dominated by a 40-MPH wind, which restricted offensive ability (and kicking) one way or the other.
They went up to a 14-0 halftime lead but Buffalo had it 14-9 by the end of the 3rd. Miami took a short field off a Buffalo punt and complete a 40 yard pass (1/7th of their day's offense) to the 2 and then scored to put the game away. Buffalo did get an INT after that and was at the Miami 15, but Miami got a sack for the stop.
It was far from a dominating performance. They had less than 300 yards and only 66 of that on the ground. Dysert had 2 TDs and 2 INTs, and WR Nick Harwell (FR) scored 2 TDs and 8 catches. Their defense held Buffalo to 265 yards, and 55 of it on the ground. They had 5 sacks.
In former opponent land, Tulsa picked up a signature win for their program by winning at Notre Dame. No matter how bad Notre Dame is, a win for Tulsa in their stadium is historic. Obviously, Notre Dame had a lot of distractions this week....even so. Marshall finally won their second game, winning at home against a 5-4 UTEP team.
Troy, now 4-3, lost on the road to Louisiana-Monroe.
Michigan lost to Penn State. You might have heard.
