Falcon Bowl Game is Wednesday
So here we are.
Two games left in the season.
We're 2-8. Not having a great year. We're not freaking out like some people (I'm looking at you, CMU), but we would like to be better.
We're not going to a bowl game. Our season will end the day after Thanksgiving.
That makes Wednesday our bowl game.
A win wouldn't erase the season, the missed FGs, the missed tackles, the injuries or the last play defeats. The Big House, the OU game, the Fog Bowl....they'll all still be there.
But it would turn the volume down a little. Remind us that we're still a strong football program struggling through some youth. It would allow us to show the best that we have.
That is what it will take, too. We will need our best game of the season to win on Wednesday.
The game will be on national TV. The nation will be watching, and we'll have the opportunity to prove that we are more than that 2-8 indicates, and beat our arch-rival in the bargain. For this team, to leave the Glass Bowl with a win would be a great springboard into the next year.
And a reward for surviving a tough year.
Go Falcons. Beat the Rockets.
