ICSTR Issues Report, Worst Special Teams in Clawson Era

The Centre has met for this week, and for the Falcons, the picture is not good.  BG was -7 out there, which is the worst since the Centre began producing questionable analysis in '09.  The key thing was that we gave up a touchdown, but had an extra point blocked, two bad kickoff returns, a bad punt, a penalty on a punt return and (sigh) a missed two-point conversion.  Wright did boom two punts, stick one inside the 20, have a kickoff for a touchback and convert a 2-pointer.  (We catch a break, since only misses under 40 result in deducted points).  But on balance, it is -7, and our previous worse was -3.

Temple's +9 was not the best by a BG opponent, but close.

This is now 4 straight games below 0 after 7 straight positive games.  It is symptomatic of the entire team's effort in that regard.  In Philly, the offense and defense came around, but the special teams struggled and had a really bad mistake.

I think the return game has been hurt by Pronty's injury, and the kicking game is generally OK but can be inconsistent.
