ICSTR Issues Report, Warning....
The International Centre has met and issued its report from last week's game against Buffalo.
For a review of what all this nonsense means, click here.
Hint: special teams weren't any better than the rest of the team was.
For this game, BG was -2, which was actually better than I suspected. In addition to the missed FG and XP, four kickoff coverage issues and one poor kickoff return. On the positive side, we had two nice punts and two kickoff touchbacks.
Buffalo was +8. (Note: The two numbers are not a mirror image of the two because you can lose a point without giving your opponent one. For example, a missed XP that is not blocked is -1 for the kicking team but 0 since the defense, since they didn't do anything to make it happen, or not happen).
In addition to have very few negative plays, Buffalo did a great job burying punts inside the 20 or 10, had a couple nice kickoff returns and largely kept the BG kick return game in check (although penalties certainly impacted that).
It represents the second week in a row that BG was in negative territory.
