With the advent of longer balls in our offense, I wanted to monitor how this might be measured in our QB production.
Last year, Tyler completed 67% with an average of 6.5 yards per attempt and 9.8 yards per completion.
In the Troy game, he completed 73% of his passes, with 7.7 yards per attempt and 10.6 per completion.
I think this puts the performance in perspective. He increased his completion percentage significantly while upping his yard production nearly a yard per on both measures.
That's impressive. For perspective, the average per play numbers are pretty similar to what LeFevour had last year. As for completion percentage, Tyler's 67% led the conference last year.
Of course, the challenge is to continue the production through the whole season. But for one game, these were pretty impressive numbers.
