  1. Thank you for not having Notre Dame on your list! I swear if they don't earn their way back to the top 25 these polls are more a fail than usual...

  2. Well, I did have them #12....but I am not as high on them as many. Still have an incompetence factor they need to overcome for me.

I'm going to take another angle here ... what has Florida done to deserve the top spot?

  4. Frank....not sure how to take that comment...since there is no smiley face, I will assume you are not joking. Of course, none of them have done anything to deserve it, it is a pre-season poll. I put Florida first because they won last year and bring a ridiculous amount of talent back, including their entire defensive two-deep.

    Orange,
I realize the CBS thing is a fan-involved polls, so I do take it with a grain of salt. The question I asked is one that I like to ask this time of year regardless who occupies the top spot.

Let's face it even after week 1, many will give high marks to a team that just rolled a small school and give little attention (if that much) to a team that had a "much better" win for their opener ... so here's the smile. :)

Here's where I make my point.

    Go Falcons.

  6. Frank, I completely see your point. Pre-season ratings are a little bit bizarre. They are, no doubt, built on reputation and expectations. You can't really live out the Blogpoll philosophy until week 5 or so. Having said that, it is fun to try and project.

    Orange,
As you said, it's fun trying.

Keep on key out my way as I hope to post my "They've Earned It" top 10 during the season. It will be far different from the polls :I guarantee" .... and thanks for keeping me informed about the Falcons.
