Ream Dismissed from Falcon Football Team

In what is a very disappointing development, Michael Ream has been dismissed from the Falcon football team for breaking team rules.

The whole trail of events is recounted here in a BG News blog post, including some AZZ.com posts. There's some more talk there about what had happened on the forum, but it is speculation and unfair to mention without a factual basis.

Sticking strictly to the facts, what we have is a new Coach arriving, and only a couple of weeks ago praising Ream for his hard work and commitment to the program. He was slated to be a starting DE and a senior, and to provide some of the production previously coming from Diryal Briggs.

Now, from a competitive standpoint, a defense ravaged by graduation is now even thinner on experience. But, you never know. Sometimes these things can make a team stronger.
